The problem of using a mobile phone, when you are on the move and driving a vehicle!
There has been a hectic debate on this topic: how to prevent the people from using mobile phones, while driving their vehicles.
When the mobile phone companies proliferated, people from all walks of life began to use mobile phones and their usage of mobile phones also increased by leaps and bounds. Thanks to the concessions in tariff and the ultra-modern facilities like camera, music, FM broadcasting and the services like world wide web etc, offered by the mobile phone companies vying with apiece other.
The mobile phones being handy and simple to carry with, besides enabling you to communicate effectively with other people wherever you go, people have begun to use them increasingly.
In fact the increasing use of mobile phones by the people, even forced them to surrender their land line connections. In a current survey undertaken by the BSNL in India, more than 20 % land line connections have been surrendered by the existing customers, who preferred to use their mobile phones.
The increasing use of mobile phones by the people has also created some problems from some unexpected quarters.
In their zeal to use the mobile phones, people have begun to use them even when they are on the move, while driving a two wheeler or a automobile or a van.
People used to, especially the youngsters, listen to the music by wearing a headphone of their mobile phone when they are on the move; Some people used to have a conversation through their mobile phone either by wearing a head phone or just by having their mobile phone on their ear. In the course of their conversation, they used to drive their car one handed even in the midst of a heavy traffic exposing them to a great risk of an happening that might endanger their lives as well as the hapless people who are going nearby either by achievement or in their own vehicle. In fact, these mobile phone users do not realize that a momentary lapse on their part is adequate to cause a fatal happening endangering their lives as well as the other innocent people, besides causing a heavy alteration to their vehicle.
Despite given repeated advice and issued warnings by the traffic police, either in mortal or through paper advertisements, the mobile phone users care a fig for them and continue to use them. Since the use of mobile phone by the people who are on the drive has become rampant, the Government has been in a dilemma for quite some time, how to stop them.
The traffic police people, unofficially used to confiscate the mobile phones of these mischief mongers or trouble makers and subsequently let them off by issuing a stern warning not to repeat such silly but grave mistakes in future.
However, in the absence of any effective law to prevent such mischief mongers, people on their drive continued to use it sporadically.
But realizing that it is their duty to wage a trouble free traffic besides ensuring the country of the people who travel on the road, the Government of India has finally come forward with a proposal to amend the Motor Cars Act,1988.
According to the proposed amendments to be carried out in the Motor Cars act,1988,whose main purpose is to prevent the use of mobile phone by the people who are on their drive:-
1)Mobile phones should not be used by the people who are on the drive and it is a punishable offence;
2)Any one violating the viands of this act, if found guilty, will be awarded with a punishment of six months imprisonment or will be imposed with a fine of Rs 2,000/- or both will be slapped on the offenders.
3)It is also proposed to cancel the driving license of the offenders.
The proposed amendments to be introduced in the Motor Cars Act, 1988,is a welcome step in the right direction and the Government has at last come forward with a concrete solution to a burning problem.
But the success of the proposed amendments to be introduced in the Motor Cars Act, 1988, depends upon its effective implementation.

Using Your Cell Phone While Driving

The first thing to do when you enter your automobile with cell phone in hand, is look around. If you should happen to see a toddler in a automobile seat there in the back, or any other young child bouncing on the seat or playing with the windows or kicking his sister or biting the dog, ready to go for a ride, simply take your cell phone, turn it to games, and hand it to any nearby youngster. (If you have forgotten, or oh-so-typically-you, have never even figured out how to switch your phone over to games, just consult the nearest acquirable teenager.) Now you can settle into the driver’s seat, hit the ignition, back out of your drive, and cruise away, all the while knowing that you just purchased yourself 20 minutes of relative quiet time as your kid racks up Coca-Cola Prize Points, and your boss can’t possibly reach you. (An added benefit: you’ll come to comprehend your cell phone bill a WHOLE lot superior when it arrives next month.)
If perchance the youngster(s) you see when you glance about the automobile should be tweens or teens, then don’t even bother to switch your cell phone over to games (however, you WILL want to disable long distance calling, if you can). Just leave your phone in phone mode, hand it to the owner of the nearest sullen face, and get ready to turn up your broadcasting to top volume on that classic rock station you like so much. Don’t worry, teens and younger teen-wannabes are perfectly capable of holding sort-of-coherent phone conversations in teen-speak while passing air raid sirens, jackhammers, Boeing 737s at peak acceleration, and other yammering teens, so you singing along to Chicago’s ‘25 or 6 to 4′ isn’t going to interrupt them one tiny bit. (Two added benefits here: first, you’ll be amused (I hope) at the new welcome screen you’ll have when you next turn on your phone, and second, though you’ll get tagged later for the phone charges, you might get away without stopping for sub sandwiches, pizzas, caramel bubblegum frappuccino mocha lattes, and the mall each few blocks.)
Should you be traveling with spouse or sweetheart, just hand the phone over to your significant (oh, alright — even your INsignificant) other, and let him or her do all the speaking on this trip. Hey, it’ll save the wear and tear on your eardrums, and it might just keep you un-distracted enough that you won’t miss the off-ramp like last time, when you two were discussing something IMPORTANT (like whether or not to return that .59 foot powder that was supposed to be on special, but that you got charged full price for). (Yep, there’s an added benefit here, too! The next time you hear ‘You never listen to me . . .’, you can calmly answer, ‘Yes, I do. How about between mile markers 7 and 214?’ Then, duck!)
If you happen to be traveling alone, you need to be equally creative in how you use your cell phone while driving. Men, I would advocate that you turn your cell phone off, and wedge it into the rear back pants pocket opposite the one in which you keep your wallet. Even if your cell phone if one of those new-fangled super-skinny types, its thickness will help a tiny bit to offset that bloated wad of smelly leather, colourless receipts, ragged singles, photos of your cousin Lenny mooning some nuns, losing Lotto tickets, memorial 19th-birthday condom, and other crap you wad into your other pocket. You’ll sit a tiny closer to level, making navigating turns quite a bit easier, and maybe that numbness will finally depart your other butt cheek. Ladies, I advocate turning off your cell phone, then bravely rustling it deep into the bowels of that patterned vinyl shopping bag you call a purse. I know, I know, it’s scary in there, and there might be things that bite, but you need to get that phone down deep, beyond ready reach, or you will have defeated our whole purpose here. Besides, anything that causes your compact mirror or your home keys to bob a bit higher among all that flotsam can’t be all bad, can it?
Finally, perhaps the ideal way to use your cell phone while driving is to turn it off, then affix it squarely to the center of your automobile windshield with duct tape, preferably red duct tape. That way, no matter what should happen on the roadways, nor what kind of vehicular calamity you find yourself at the crumpled, smoking, gasoline-and-burnt-rubber-smelling, glass-tinkled center of, you can proudly point to your adhered flip-phone, and say to all surrounding drivers and to that rather grumpy-looking say trooper towering over you, “I wasn’t on my cell phone! I was paying attention to my driving!”
We’re all chesty of you.

Using Modern Communication Technology Effectively

People around the world has been using various ways of communicating with one another for many years. From the humble paper and pen to the iPhone, a lot of information has been exchanged crossways cultures and boundaries. There are so many different kinds of gadgets in the world that you might wonder which one which is the ideal for a giving situation. If this is so, let’s see which of the favourite communication tools we have this day is the most suitable for a giving situation.
Email is ideal suited for communication that required a record of what being communicated and when attachments are required to be sent. You can attached photos, forms, videos, audios, and other types of electronic files to your emails.
Email is however, not suitable for messages that require instant reply. This is because some people do not check their emails regular making it no difference between snail mails which are letters brought to you by the mailman and emails. Email is also not suitable for two-way communication as we might hear in a regular conversation. Here’s is an example:
Hi Mary,
How are you?
It has been in a long time I have not heard from you. Do you check for emails regular or have you forgetten to do so? We are still inactivity for the supply of pencils from you and moreover, this is already the second week.
Cheers,
John
John will have to move for Mary to reply and there is no quarantee that he will get it.
To solve the problem, some email providers and wage what is called a “Messenger”. Both Hotmail and Yahoo provides Messengers for their users. With a Messenger, John and Mary can have a two-way communication with another. For example,
John: Hi Mary, how r u?
Mary: I am good, John. How r u?
John: Did you get my email?
Mary: Yes, I did …
Even though this is superior than email but again Mary might select to ignore John.
If you plan to write a long email of more than 100 words. It’s superior to place your writing into a .txt file and attached it to your main email with a brief statement to inform your recipient of the attachment. Make sure the attachment is not too massive making it harder to be downloaded.
Instant Messaging
As mentioned earlier, an example of an instant messaging system is the “Messenger”. In addition to a two-way conversations with typed words, two or more people can also see one another via their personal screens while having a normal verbal conversation. With a webcam, people can see apiece other and have a verbal conversation with an instant messenger. Among the favourite instant messengers are Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Life Messenger, and Skype.
Mobile
The mobile is a very handy device because you can carry it along with you and use it to make calls whenever you need and want to do so. WIth a modern mobile, you can also send text messages known as SMS; watch and download videos; take pictures; play games; and do many other stuff. It is a very useful gadget you can use in the event of an emergency. With a mobile, you don’t have to go looking or asking for a telephone.
iPhone
The iPhone by Apple, Inc., the company that introduced the famous Apple I and II personal as well as the Mac, is a superior version of a mobile. It is favourite because it is easier to use than an ordinary mobile as it incorporates the touch-screen technology. Such technology grants you to activate a function by pressing an picture the represents it with your finger. This saves your time from having to scroll through a list of functions before reaching the one you want. Like a mobile, you can also use the iPhone to make calls and that explains the word phone in its name.
Future devices.
Although, there is already mobile devices that grant us to see apiece other while having a conversation, such technology is not common yet. However, I believe in the near future such technology will be something we take for allowed and it is very uncommon for a mortal who lives in advanced country not to possess it.

How To Get Better Cell Phone Reception Using a Booster and Antenna

How To Get Superior cell phone Reception With Boosters
How do cell phone boosters work? Your small cell phone only transmits a small amount of power compared to the massive “bag phones” of the past. The output power of a modern cell phone might be less than 200 milliwatts instead of the full legal power of three watts.
This might cause you to have dropped calls when the far away cell tower can't receive your phone’s signal. In addition to the low power output your cell phone’s antenna is woefully inadequate. It actually has a negative gain, compared to attractable mount antennas for your car’s roof.
One very easy way to boost your cell phone reception is to use a repeater type amplifier and a attractable mount antenna on the roof of the vehicle.
The great thing about repeater type boosters is that you no longer need a wire connected to your cell phone and the amplifier. The repeater type cell phone amplifier works by picking up your phone’s signal and amplifying it to the full legal limit of three watts output.
Also, the cell phone tower’s signal is amplified you get more bars on your phone and fewer dropped calls.
These repeater type boosters can amplify up to five phones at one time and even work with broadband air cards from carriers such as Verizon, Sprint, Alltel and AT&T.
Most phones from the above carriers use both 900 MHZ and 1900 MHZ. It is almost impossible to know which band the phone is transmitting on at a given time so it is important to select a dual band amplifier.
Dual band amplifiers, such as those prefabricated by Digital Antenna Corporation and Wilson work with either band and can boost your cell phone signal by over 30 decibels.
The proof that these devices work is in the fact that many rural law enforcement agencies and emergency services use them in emergency vehicles.
If you live in a fringe area, or just want to be connected wherever you go, a dual band, repeater type cell phone amplifier is the way to go. For more info on how they work and which cell phone carriers are ideal for a given geographic area see this article. More About cell phone Boosters

Using Database Views And Stored Procedures
When feasible, think about using views or stored procedures to force record selection to take place on the server instead of bringing a larger set of data back to your organisation and then applying record selection. Views and stored procedures exist and always process on the database server. Generally, someone familiar with the database designs these views and stored procedures and writes the SQL manually.
Controlling Fields with a Smaller Grid
To maximize control over moving objects on your report, change the grid size to 0.011 on the Layout journalism of the File, Options dialog box. By default, SCR sets the grid size to 0.83.
The grid is similar to graph paper in that SCR views the report as small intersections of the grid. By making the grid smaller, you create more intersections. This grants you to superior control where objects line up on the report. Oracle you make this change, you will not want to view the grid; because you’ve prefabricated the grid so small, the screen will appear black and you won’t be healthy to see the report!
Using the Total Page Count Special Field
Even though this version of SCR brings superior performance, I advocate that you move to place the Total Page Count special field on the report until one of the last stages of the design. This special field forces SCR to compute the entire report instead of just up to the page you’re currently on. This can create delays in returning control back to you as the designer.

Big penalties for using your mobile phone or GPS device when driving!
Changes to Victorian Road Rules that specifically target the use of mobile phones and visual displays (like GPS devices); will take effect from 9 November 2009.
The new mobile phone rules have been revised, allowing both the navigational (GPS) and audio/music functions of a mobile phone to be used, provided the mobile phone is secured in a commercially designed holder fixed to the vehicle.
Mobile phones - Using a mobile phone while driving is prohibited, except to make or receive a phone call or to use its audio/music functions provided the phone:
Is secured in a commercially designed holder fixed to the vehicle, or Can be operated by the driver without touching any part of the phone. Using a phone as a GPS while driving is prohibited unless it is secured in a commercially designed holder fixed to the vehicle.
Further changes include the prohibition of Learner and P1 drivers from using a mobile phone at all while driving and holding the phone (whether or not engaged in a phone call), which includes relaxing the mobile on the driver’s lap.
Visual display units - A driver must not drive a car that has a TV receiver or a visual display unit operating if any part of the screen is visible to the driver or is likely to distract another driver. A driver can use a driver’s aid such as a navigation device but it must be an integrated part of the car design, or secured in a commercially designed holder, which is fixed to the vehicle.
Exemptions - The rule relating to securing visual display units does not apply to motorcycles.
Road country reasons - Using a mobile phone or a visual display unit as you drive is distracting and creates hazardous situations that could be fatal. The risk of being involved in a crash increases by as much as four times, when using a mobile phone as you drive, and if you are texting the risk of crashing increases to 23 times.
Demerit points and fines - Over the next few months, Victorian Road Traffic Police will be actively enforcing the changes to mobile phone and GPS use whilst driving. Penalties for infringing these rules can be costly, not only financially but also from a “demerit points” appearance as well!
A standard demerit point deduction of 3 points now applies to an infringement of these rules, along with a 4 “on the spot” fine. A complete list of Road Traffic offences and applicable demerit points can be accessed by clicking here.
In Summary - Have your mobile phone (or GPS device) mounted in a cradle and “fix” the cradle to a point in your car that doesn’t fog your vision.
Consider purchasing a “Bluetooth” device that will grant you to receive and make calls without touching your mobile phone. The investment required for a Bluetooth device maybe the ideal investment you’ll make this year. Avoid Tickets by Using Your GPS

Are you exhausted of all the new red light and speeding cameras that are popping up all around the world? Wish there was a way to be warned when a speed trap is coming? All you have to do is purchase a GPS device!
Image via Wikipedia
For my college graduation my in-laws purchased me a Garmin GPS device. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I immediately went to their web site to see if there were any cool extras to download to my GPS through my computer. I immediately found a POI (points of interest) uploader and links to several POI web services.
The biggest category I stumbled upon was the red light and speed camera section. There are tons of web sites out there that will grant you to upload POI’s for all these stations instantly to your GPS device. After uploading these databases to your GPS, you will receive a visual and audio warning when you are approaching a reported traffic camera.
An excellent web page that I found is located at http://gps-data-team.com/. They do charge .00 for a lifetime membership, but I could not find a single good free site out there. This seems to have the ideal database for the lowest price. They also support nearly all name-brand devices.
Image via Wikipedia
So check out the downloads section for your GPS. They even have detailed instructions on how to upload the POI’s to your device. I’m excited to try this out in the morning!
Happy (and safe) driving!

How to Get Instant Traffic to Your Articles, Blogs And Websites Using Twitter Accounts

Creating Twitter accounts, creating blogs, writing articles and creating websites too. If all this is done then it is time to know how you can make ideal use of all this to get more traffic.
Getting traffic was never easy, if we had no intent about how to make use of the Twitter accounts for generating traffic for your blogs, websites and articles too. You might have written 100s of articles on Triond, Bukisa, eHow, Xomba and also might have 20 blogs up til now. Some one might be an owner of 2 websites too. However, what is missing in your regular life is the Twitter account.
You might have more than one Twitter statement too, however, you might not have followers in it to get the traffic. Let me tell you that I prefabricated 7 Twitter accounts within a week’s time and got very good followers for them all using this website. After I got enough followers within 10 minutes on all my Twitter accounts, I started getting more followers as mentioned in this article.
Then started my regular journey of posting my articles, blogs and website links in all my Twitter accounts. I got enough traffic starting from 9 clicks on my links per day and as it goes on increasing it will go to thousands of clicks too.
My plan is to make 50,000 followers on apiece Twitter statement and I am on the way to achieve that goal. So how about you? Have you added your blogs to the Twitter accounts? Have you added your website links to the Twitter accounts?
Also, have you started working on this method which I have written above then surely within 7 days you will get a lot of traffic to your blogs, articles and websites too.
My recommendation is that you can post the same url of your article, blogs and websites 10 times at one go. Remember that Twitter does not accept the same sentence, so you can keep on changing the wordings in the sentence. For example:
I got #instant #traffic to my #blogs, #articles and #websites. See how http://www.tinyurl.com/trafficblogswebsites
Know how you can get #instant #traffic to your #blogs, #articles and #websites. http://www.tinyurl.com/trafficblogswebsites
Above mentioned are the two examples of how you can write two different tweets and post them one after another. Now you might be asking about the ‘#’ (hash) in the tweets. Yes, the hash is used in twitter because when the search engines search for the keywords like instant, traffic, blogs, articles, websites it will direct to your tweet and people will find your tweet in the search engines. So you get more traffic than what you get from your own followers. Also, I have shortened my article url using http://www.tinyurl.com so that it gets superior position in the search engines and also my tweets remain within the limit of 140 characters.
Also, make sure that sometimes you tweet normal tweets like speaking about something which has no links in it. This means sometimes your tweets should have no links in it. In this case the readers will check your Twitter URL link and thus you get traffic for your blogs and websites which you have mentioned on the right hand side of the Twitter accounts.
If you have any questions them either write a comment or send me a message so that I can help you further.
